Mother’s Day is quickly approaching and finding the perfect gift can be difficult and extremely challenging especially in the Washington DC, Maryland, and Virginia (DMV) area. There are so many things to do and restaurants to dine at, that it can be hard narrowing down the choices. In addition, each Mom has a different like and want. There isn’t a go-to guide that says buy this gift and Mom will love it. Many Mothers will receive flowers, especially roses, but what if your Mom isn’t a fan of flowers because they wilt and die so quickly; now what do you do? If you’re looking for something outside the box, I have a few ideas. Moms love to receive personalized gifts or getting something that only they can enjoy, like something to eat or a day at the spa. If your Mom lives in the DMV, this is a quick list of ideas your Mom would love to receive as a gift.
1. Hannah Pearl Charm Bracelet
You know Mom has been wanting portraits of her kids and grandkids. Why not give her the gift she’s been desiring…her family. 5. Handwritten Note/Letter
Nothing says I love you more than taking the time to write a handwritten note. Receiving a handwritten letter is heart-felt because thought was put into finding the right words to express how you feel and why at love about your Mom and the great things she’s done for you. Chances are your handwritten letter will be cherished more than a generic store-bought card. Your handwritten letter will be more impactful today in our go-go world to technology and emojis. When was the last time you received a personal handwritten letter in the mail? Yeah, it’s been a while for me as well. I usually receive an email or text; it’s safe to say, I’m not alone.
