Family Quarantine Bingo
The last few weeks have been interesting and I've been looking for ways to entertain my kids and when I find interesting ways I enjoy sharing them with you.
Today, I'm sharing my family Quarantine Bingo card and by quarantine bucket dream list.
Download a copy of the bingo card. This game is great to place with kids during this time of quarantine. At the end of the week, the winner can watch their favorite movie or something else.
What to do with kids during Coronavirus?
The kids around California and Northern Virginia are out of school; now what? If you’re like myself and most parents, you’re looking for activities for your children to get engaged in that can be done safely inside the home. Especially since the state of California is now in full self quarantine mode.
Here are a few recommendations:
1. Play a board game.
Whether is a traditional board game or a game on an electronic device, it can be a mind shifter. Do you have a favorite game? I love playing Scrabble on my phone. It keeps the score and we just pass the cell phone around to each other.
Beach Portraits at Laguna's Table Top Beach
The South Bay in California has several exquisite beaches and Table Rock in Laguna Beach is one that will not disappoint. This beach is the perfect location for a family portrait session or a wonderful place to watch the sunset. As a family photographer, I was pleased with the different aspects of this location.
Composites or collages are so much fun to create. Flicker defines A composite Image is a picture that is made from the combination of multiple images merged into a single surface. You can view my other photos here. The pictures in this set are "constructed" creations. This technique often generates interesting and weird surreal effects.
Getting the best pose and controlling the light plays a pivotal part of the process, but really “playing” with an image after the fact to see what can be achieved is the fun part.
Friday Fives #16 - It's Cold Outside
7-Year Old Milestone Portraits
What's not to like about birthdays...they are so much fun. Cake, balloons, presents; need I say more. In addition to all these great birthday traditions, a milestone photo session is another great way to remember yourself or your child's birthday. To celebrate Gray's 7th birthday, we had a portrait session in Old Town Alexandria.
Brrrr...It's Cold Outside
It's winter outside...as a matter of act it's extremely cold and snowing. However, when family members travel back to Northern Virginia for holidays such as Thanksgiving or Christmas, many families still want to have an extended family photo. Just not in the cold.
You're first questions may be where can we go to get a great family picture during this time of year? Do we have to go outside in the cold to get a family picture? Do we have to travel to a studio or will the photographer come to us? These are all great questions.
It's Friday and yes, the last weekend before school returns next week. I know i'm not the only parent celebrating! So this weekend, i've been thinking about different things I could do with my boys to give them one last hooray before they pick up their backpack and walk to the bus stops. In today's Friday Fives, here are five suggestions for things to do before school returns on Monday for Prince William County Schools in Northern Virginia and other surrounding school districts.
Did you grow up singing this jingle?
