Army Promotion Ceremony at The National Archives Museum
Promotion ceremonies at The National Archives Museum are fun and make for a memorable military ceremony. Many military members throughout Washington DC and across the nation desire to have their military event at the museum. Because of it's popularity, members have to request months in advance to secure the venue for their promotion or retirement ceremony. Therefore, I always get excited when veterans or their spouse call or message me to schedule photography for their ceremony.
A few months ago, Melissa contacting me to photograph her husband promotion ceremony at The Archives. They were excited about the promotion and having family in attendance to witness the ceremony and wanted to have beautiful portraits of the day.
Air Force Promotion Ceremony at National Archives - Day
It was a beautiful day in Washington D.C. for an Air Force promotion ceremony at The National Archives; even the little ducklings thought so. They came out for a walk with their Mom. They wanted to stroll the streets of D.C. so much, Mom wanted to walk them down Constitution Avenue. Of course, we walked out in traffic to help protect them. All of this happened before Captain Day arrived for his promotion ceremony.
It was a beautiful day in Washington D.C. at The National Archives museum for an Air Force promotion ceremony. Captain Kravitz's friends and family began gathering outside the museum before entry.

What a day filled with excitement - two Navy promotion ceremonies at The National Archives. Yes, not only was it a promotion ceremony for Captain Juergens, but also Commander McCandless. They both arrived in Washington D.C. for their military ceremony.
Congratulations are in order for Lieutenant Colonel Ono. He is one of the Air Force newest promotees. Yesterday morning, Major Ono and his family arrived at the National Archives Museum in Washington D.C. for his promotion ceremony and greeted their friends and guests.
What a beautiful family! The Defors gathered at The Special Event Entrance of The National Archives Museum in Washington D.C. for a Commander DeFor's Navy Promotion Ceremony. For many that live in and near the nation's capital know we're in the middle of a heat wave, because of this, we decided to take family portraits before the ceremony. Although we couldn't run from the humidity, we walked to the top of the stairs to avoid the sun and captured this beautiful family portrait.
It was a beautiful blue sky day at The National Archives Museum in Washington D.C. today. It was beautiful and ready for Navy Promotion ceremony. Lieutenant Dougherty and her family arrived at The National Archives with excitement for her promotion ceremony to meet and greet friends and family.
Almost weekly, I drive to the National Archives Museum in Washington D.C. to photograph a military ceremony. It’s always an honor when military families trust me to photograph their treasured memories of having their ceremony in front of the United States Constitution.
However, once the ceremony is over, now it’s time for the member and their family to decide how they would like to display their memories. It's was a beautiful morning in Washington D.C. today at The National Archives Museum. Beautiful weather and a wonderful moment for family, friends and coworkers to travel to Washington D.C. to celebrate one of the nation's heroes and one of the Air Force's newest Lieutenant Colonels.
