Grandparent's Portrait Session | Northern Virginia Photographer | Woodbridge Family Photographer4/20/2017 Honor the grandparents in your child's life with an exclusive portrait session. Giving a portrait for Grandparents Day is a beautiful gift! I really can’t think of a better gift idea than family portraits, either as a gift certificate, or as a framed portrait print. Grandparents LOVE getting beautiful portraits of their children and grandchildren. However, what’s even better than that, is actually having grandparents in the portraits!! I love when clients ask if it’s okay if parent’s come along to the portrait session. Yes, absolutely; please!! There’s nothing more precious and beautiful sight to see than multi-generations in one portrait.

Family Portraits with Cherry Blossoms Aaahh...it's spring in Northern Virginia and Washington D.C. and that means it's time for Cherry Blossoms. Spring is definitely one of my favorite times of the year because I get to photograph beautiful families and their contagious smiles. If you've visited Washington D.C. during the peak bloom of the Cherry Blossoms, you know the Tidal Basin quickly fills up with visitors wanting to photograph the beautiful petals of the blossoms. So we opted for a less occupied area - Hains Point. Hains point is a great location for portraits because the streets are lined with Cherry Blossom trees and the people traffic is minimal compared to the hustle and bustle of the Basin.
See it Everyday! My wife is my compass. What is it about uniformed bodies frozen into portraits that demand being attended constantly? I haven’t discovered it. Since I had my wife’s portrait redone and hung in the living room, many friends admit it is the first picture they look at when they walk into our home.
It was just a few short weeks ago and we were in the middle of 70° to 80° degree weather in the DMV area. With the cherry blossoms in the background, it was the perfect atmosphere for a family portrait. To avoid the numerous people that come to see the sights and scenes of the cherry blossoms near the Tidal Basin, we opted for Hains Point. This area provided us a private scenic view of the blossoms with reduced foot and vehicle traffic. we all scream for ice cream!
The sound of an ice cream truck signals the start of summer.
