Can you guess what's the best size to order and display on your walls? When asked, many people would respond "8x10". Unfortunately, a 8x10 will not stand out on the wall...it's too small. Is there a difference between a 8x10 or 30x40? Why of course it is. Using the powerful display guide will help determine the correct size to order for wall display.

Most of the time, your wall space will call for a larger display than you think. The image to the left is one 8x10, the center image is displaying a 24x36, and the image to the right is 1-24x36 & 2-16x24 prints.

Welcome to Our New Website!

As you may have noticed, Tamieka Smith Photography, a Northern Virginia family photographer, has just had a major makeover. The look and navigation of this site is new and the information has been made more accessible...now includes a search block (towards the bottom of each page).

A number of the pages are still in progress, but visit the site frequently as more content about my activities and products will become available.

Welcome Home - Washington D.C. Family Photographer

After many months and sometimes years apart, military families look forward to the day when they go to the airport to pick up their loved one from a deployment. Parents have to find ways to occupy the time until the grand moment. What better way to keep kiddos entertained than by feeding them cereal and playing electronic games.

Well last night was this family's turn to be reunited. After many hours of waiting at the the airport and after several delays, the excitement and emotion was overwhelming! Thank you to all the troops that fight for our freedom and for the families/spouses that keep the home-front going!
