It's spring in Washington D.C. and that means the weather is unpredictable. The weather was forecasted for sunny and warm, but instead we received cold and rainy. Yesterday was true to form. Captain Peebles and his guests arrived for his promotion ceremony and thankfully the staff at the National Archives opened the doors to escape the rain.
Once inside the museum, Captain Peebles and guests were able to look at the Nation's documents and catch up with each other. It is always an honor when fellow military spouses or veterans contact me to photograph their families military ceremony at The National Archives in Washington D.C. Today, I had the pleasure of photographing the Fry family. Prior to the start of the promotion ceremony, we took family portraits on the stairs of the museum before the guest arrived. The little guys looked so handsome in their suits and boy ties.
Updated: February 18, 2023 Mother’s Day is only two months away and now is a great time to start thinking about how you would like to celebrate your Mother this year. This year I am gifting my Mom a portrait session. I want to celebrate her beauty and make her feel like a princess.
There isn’t a go-to guide that says buy this gift and Mom will love it. However, here are a few recommendations that will bring a huge smile to Mom's face and warm her heart. If you’re looking for something outside the box, here are a few ideas. Spring is beautiful in Washington D.C. with the blooming of the Cherry Blossoms, however, it can be tricky because an unexpected rainfall may appear; this was the case yesterday. The sky was gloomy and cloudy mixed in a few sprinkles of rain. However this didn't stop the excitement of Air Force Officer Lieutenant Colonel (Lt Col) Rowe and his family.
Lt Col Rowe and his family arrived at The National Archives Museum and there were smiles all around. Lt Col Rowe introduced his family to his co-workers and friends prior to the start of his promotion ceremony in the Rotunda. |
