Which caused the museums in Washington D.C. to close, including the National Archives. Due to this, many military members were looking for an alternative location to hold their military promotion or retirement ceremony in the Washington D.C. area. Outside the locations discussed in the first article, there are plenty of other great options in the city and surrounding areas. Now that the government is back in full swing, The National Archives usually book out several months in advance. The National Archives Museum in Washington D.C. is the home of the Declaration of Independence, Constitution, and Bill of Rights and it is one of the prized locations for military members and their families for promotions, reenlistments, retirements, or commissioning ceremonies.
However, many military members and families are unsure who to contact to schedule the Rotunda for their upcoming military ceremony.
