Family love is powerful! Even when family members are miles across the country or around the world; that love can still be felt. Two or three weeks can't go by without calling or Face-timing my nieces and nephews. It's so important to my husband and I to have a relationship with all of our family members (especially our nieces and nephews). Family is a wonderful relationship! We're in Christmas countdown. Can you believe we have only 13 more Fridays until Christmas. Where has the year gone? It's the time of year where I reflect on relationships and prepare to think about what type of gift I want to give to the people who have made an impact upon my life. Cooler days, leaves changing colors, and the sun setting earlier than usual; I'm talking about fall. I'm so excited and looking forward to fall. It's unbelievable fall officially starts in five days. Of course with that comes football and shortly there after the start of the NBA season. Last year was my first time experiencing fall in over eight years (lived in beach communities) so it was a true thrill watching the leaves change colors and then falling from the trees. I was able to capture so many memories that will last a lifetime. What is your favorite part of fall? This past Saturday, Tamieka Smith Photography, a Woodbridge military photographer, had the honor of photographing the Enlisted Combat Dining In. It truly was a pleasure being in the company of fellow veterans and seeing how the force has evolved in the 10 years since my discharge. I loved being around the camaraderie! Although it rained nearly the entire event; it didn't damper any spirits.
