I delivered this gorgeous 8x8 birthday album last week and it was received with such excitement and love. Grady celebrated his 7th birthday with a personalized portrait session in Old Town Alexandria, Virginia. His Mom selected this portrait of him with his I'm 7 years old t-shirt as the cover for his custom designed album cover. The matted cover was a perfect compliment to his photos.

I’m loving this amazing black leather family album designed for this wonderful Maryland family. Upon receiving the album, you’ll be amazed with the packaging as it is entirely handmade – packaged with paper handmade from recycled pineapple leaves and finished with a paper ribbon from recycled mulberry leaves. The enhancement is made from skeleton leaves and dried flowers.

Have you scheduled your Cherry Blossom portrait appointment for 2018 in Washington DC? If not, this is a great opportunity to schedule your family portraits. Spring is a wonderful time to have your family photographed. It’s a lot warmer and the beautiful blossoms and the wonderful smells are everywhere.
If you haven’t scheduled your appointment, now is a great time. I will be giving one family who schedules with Tamieka Smith Photography for their Cherry Blossoms before January 21st of this year a complimentary 20 page, 10×10 Heirloom family – a $1500 value! In addition, two families will receive a $300 and $200 credit, respectively.
There is no limit on the number of pictures that may be included in the album, just remember the more pictures you place in the album, the more crowded the pages become. The winners may also upgrade from this album if so desired.

Have you seen the albums? I haven’t shared about the albums in a while so today I thought I’d show you a little peek at the new album options that are available to Tamieka Smith Photography clients.
An album is a great way to showcase your family’s portrait session. It tells the story of your family in no other way. And it lives on to tell your story to future generations. My goal as family photographer in Northern Virginia, is not only to capture the memories of your family but also to create a tangible heirloom that you’ll be proud to share with friends and family, and look back upon for years to come.
Now, I get it. Albums are a luxurious product. However, they’re worth every dollar.
Pictures are in high demand lately. You don't believe me! Look at your mobile phone, I'm certain there's a camera. What about your iPad or tablet, does it have a camera? Do you have a DSLR or shoot and click camera? Although we are taking countless pictures, we no longer print or display those pictures in our homes. These images tend to stay in digital format whether they're on our computers, smartphones, or on the CD from our last photographer. Don't allow your digital images to become lost or damaged.
Technology is constantly changing! For example the diskette to the right has been obsolete for years. Many of the devices we rely on and use to store our families history and pictures will no longer be available within 5 to 6 years from now. Sadly, this means you will have to continuous transfer your portraits to ensure you don't lose them and hopefully they don't become corrupted.
