5 Reasons to have your Family Photographs in Washington D.C.In this week's Friday Fives, I'll discuss five reasons why having your family pictures taken in Washington D.C. is a wonderful idea. Living this close to Washington D.C. has its privileges; especially when it comes to taking family pictures.
Washington D.C. is such a beautiful place regardless of the time of year. When it's spring the Cherry Blossoms are in full bloom and make for a beautiful background for your family's spring portraits; and during Autumn, the foliage on the trees are amazing. If you're a part of the military community, having your family's portrait taken in Washington D.C. will also be a great way to remember you were stationed in the Washington D.C. area.

Congratulations are in order for Lieutenant Colonel Ono. He is one of the Air Force newest promotees. Yesterday morning, Major Ono and his family arrived at the National Archives Museum in Washington D.C. for his promotion ceremony and greeted their friends and guests.
What a beautiful family! The Defors gathered at The Special Event Entrance of The National Archives Museum in Washington D.C. for a Commander DeFor's Navy Promotion Ceremony. For many that live in and near the nation's capital know we're in the middle of a heat wave, because of this, we decided to take family portraits before the ceremony. Although we couldn't run from the humidity, we walked to the top of the stairs to avoid the sun and captured this beautiful family portrait.
It was a beautiful blue sky day at The National Archives Museum in Washington D.C. today. It was beautiful and ready for Navy Promotion ceremony. Lieutenant Dougherty and her family arrived at The National Archives with excitement for her promotion ceremony to meet and greet friends and family.
Almost weekly, I drive to the National Archives Museum in Washington D.C. to photograph a military ceremony. It’s always an honor when military families trust me to photograph their treasured memories of having their ceremony in front of the United States Constitution.
However, once the ceremony is over, now it’s time for the member and their family to decide how they would like to display their memories. There are several options to choose from; album, framed portrait, canvas, and more. Today, I’ll be highlighting the beauty of a framed portrait. Frames from Tamieka Smith Photography really are stunning and museum quality. |
