Family Portraits with Cherry Blossoms
Aaahh...it's spring in Northern Virginia and Washington D.C. and that means it's time for Cherry Blossoms. Spring is definitely one of my favorite times of the year because I get to photograph beautiful families and their contagious smiles.
If you've visited Washington D.C. during the peak bloom of the Cherry Blossoms, you know the Tidal Basin quickly fills up with visitors wanting to photograph the beautiful petals of the blossoms. So we opted for a less occupied area - Hains Point. Hains point is a great location for portraits because the streets are lined with Cherry Blossom trees and the people traffic is minimal compared to the hustle and bustle of the Basin.
What a great decision! It was such a beautiful morning for family portraits. It truly was a spring morning. The temperature was in the low 70°. While we photographed, the soft breeze blew. There's nothing like a pretty girl in pink holding cherry blossoms.
This is one of my favorite portraits for 2017. It just screams it's spring time.
Although this year's cherry blossom were threatened and wasn't as full as previous years, they still were beautiful and magnificent.
