A few weeks ago, I made this post on Facebook regarding how technology changes, and you don't want to have your family's portraits get lost on obsolete technology.
If you remember, not to long ago, CDs were the rave. You could find them everywhere; on your computer, DVD, car, etc. Families used CD to store their family pictures, to listen to music and more.
Then we moved to USBs. Have you purchased a new computer recently? USB drives are typically not included in a standard computer purchase.
They are usually required as an add-on or upgrade. Or you have to purchase an additional device to access the photographs.
With that said, looking at the picture above, which one will be easily accessible 10-15 years from now? Also, there is no need to turn on an electronic device to assess your family's pictures. You can simply look at the walls of your home to enjoy your family's portraits.
Technology changes, don't allow your family's pictures to get trapped on obsolete technology. After making my post on social media, I had several family photographers reach out to me telling their story of how their childhood had been lost on technology that is no longer access (slides or floppy disk).
Don't allow your children's childhood memories to get lost and never to be seen again, because your family's pictures was stored on dying technology.
Call (571) 250-5073 to talk about creating family pictures you'll love and cherish, regardless of the technology.
