Oh my gosh...I would venture to say this was the best family vacation we've had in a long time. It was the kids Spring Break so we decided to take full advantage of the time we were given. We began our vacation by visiting Gettysburg National Park. It was a very solemn area with a lot of historic buildings, statues, and a museum dedicated to time lining history. After leaving Gettysburg we traveled onto Hershey's Chocolate World. Chocolate here, chocolate everywhere! As soon as we entered the building, the smell of chocolate punched us in the face. I think I gained 10lbs just by entering the building.
We made our first overnight stay in Philadelphia. We visited the Love Park, "The Rocky Stairs", and Reading Terminal. If you have visit Philly, I would say Reading Terminal is a must! We left Philadelphia and traveled onto Atlantic City to spend the day and visited the Boardwalk. Later than day we travel onward to New York City. Of course there is so much to see and do in New York City. We spent the day walking and eating and eating and walking.
We spent our last vacation day in Connecticut. Although we had a wonderful time vacation, I was glad to return home. I look forward to our next family vacation.
