​Today is National Save Your Photos Day.  It’s a day to bring out your old family pictures and reminisce about your family’s memories.  Yes, it’s a day to bring out giant family photo albums and look at your siblings, mom, dad, grandparents, and pictures of other family members. 
 
With the rise of digital cameras and social media, we as a people have begun to rely solely on digital images and pictures on our mobile devices.  However, with only digital images, your family pictures can get misplaced, deleted, or damaged at any moment.  I was quickly reminded over the weekend, that computers fail.  I don’t want you to be like me and have all your precious family pictures stored on your computer and then your computer fails.  Can you imagine the gut sinking feeling?

​If you have your family pictures stored on your computer, don’t forget to back them up on an external hard drive or iCloud server. Usually backing up your photos doesn’t take too long, but it’s vital.  If you’re storing a lot of photos on your phone, they may be taking up a lot of space.  It’s said photos usually take up 60% to 70% of storage space on mobile devices.
