Recap of Imaging USA Photography Conference

This year was Imaging USA first conference after two years due to Covid.  The conference was held in National Harbor only a few miles from Washington D.C.  It was so nice to see so many photographers after months of only seeing them via Zoom or some other online conference platform.

The day I arrived it was my birthday.  When I'm in the D.C. area, I must stop and eat and Nando's.  This trip was any different.  If you haven't eaten there it is a must.  Their grilled chicken is cooked to perfection.  I always get the garlic bread.  As you can see in the picture below, the food look delicious.  

Because we arrived a few days before the conference started, check in was quick and simple.  The hotel was setup and ready to receive thousands of photographers.

After putting my bags in my room, I headed to the Conference Center to sign in and pick up my badge.

​The opening keynote speaker was the author of the book The Storybrand.  He had amazing things to share with us.

The conference was filled with numerous educational classes and two keynote speakers.  Both keynote speakers were amazing.  I definitely have taken a few key things I will be implementing into my photography business.  In additional to wonderful education, the Washington DC area experience a snow storm.  It has been almost three years since I last seen snow and I was in love.

I had to go out and play in the snow and take pictures.

In additional to all the great education it's a great opportunity to network with other photographers, meet so amazing people, and for me I had an opportunity to fulfil a childhood dream of becoming a model.  Yes, I modeled for some photographers while at the conference.

Towards the end of the conference we went to the Replay Club located on the rooftop of the hotel.  The club was a big attraction because of the over the top milkshakes.  If you're in need of a sugar rush, this is the place to be.

After a two year hiatus, this year's conference was amazing.  If you attended, I would love to know your experience.  I'm looking forward to 2023.  It will be in Nashville, TN.  If you're going, I would love to connect.  Don't miss it!
