National Archives - O'Brien
Colonel O'Brien Promotion Ceremony
A few weeks back Deanne contacted me from Alaska to determine my availability to photograph her husband's promotion ceremony at the National Archives in Washington D.C. I was amazed they were traveling from Alaska to Washington DC to have the promotion ceremony. That speaks to how special this venue is for military families; to have their Oath of Office or Oath of Enlistment administered in front of the Constitution of the United States.
Yesterday felt as though we were still in the midst of summer. The skies were blue and the sun was bright.
As you can see the skies were extremely blue and pretty. Prior to going inside the museum I took several pictures, even one of Old Glory outside of the National Archives.
Once inside the Rotunda, the guests were able to look at the documents and the murals.
Col O'Brien, congratulations to you and your family on your promotion. I wish you much success in your military career.
