Congratulations to one of the Air Force's newest Lieutenant Colonel (Lt Col) - Lt Col Chandler. He was joined by several friends, family, and co-workers to witness his promotion in one of the most beautiful places the National Archives Museum in Washington D.C. Major Chandler and his guests gather outside the museum awaiting the doors to open. It was a great opportunity for them to catch up on great times and share a few laughs.
Once inside the Rotunda of the National Archives, Major Chandler's guests were able to view the nation's documents. Those documents include the The Constitution of the United States, The Bill of Rights, and so much more.
Yes even, U.S. Congressman Ted Budd from North Carolina was also in attendance.
The ceremony was called to order and the ceremony began with prayer.
Colonel Tanner, the Presiding Officer, addressed the guests and highlighted why the Air Force saw such great potential in Major Chandler and sought to promote him to Lt Col.
Colonel Tanner called for the the promotion orders to be published. Then Major Chandler's family was called forward to pin on his new rank of Lt Col.
After the pinning on of a new military rank, it is tradition for an Officer to be administered the Oath of Oath and Lt Col Chandler continued with that tradition.
Then Lt Col Chandler thanked everyone for attending his promotion ceremony and invited everyone to join him and his family at Paul.
Congratulations again Lt Col Chandler on your promotion. I wish you continued success and further advancement in your military career.
