Hello Friday! It’s nice to see another week conclude. We just had the Fourth of July celebration; a time that many families get together and spend time together. Usually during family time; families bring out pictures and albums and reminisce of happy times. Today in my Friday Fives, I am discussing the top 5 reasons I love Heirloom Albums.
1. Easy to Transport
As a military family living in Northern Virginia, I totally understand wanting to keep things simplistic as possible. Especially when moving from duty location to the next, it’s virtually impossible to know how much space your next home will have. However, an Heirloom Album will fit in any size home. That’s why I recommend to my military families to have their family portraits or military event ceremonies placed in an album. As we move from place to place, it’s easy to keep track of albums and there is little fear of your album being broken or destroyed by movers.
2. No Electronics Required
Thankfully, with Heirloom Albums, there is no need for electricity to view them. The album can be pulled off the bookshelf and viewed even if the electricity is out or off.
3. Long Lasting
Yes, family albums are a generational and long-lasting product. When you gather with your family together, do you look back at old albums and pictures? I know when I go back home to Alabama, my family pulls out old albums and I get to look at pictures of my grandmother and great grandmother. Again, no electricity is needed to look at those pictures. With fast changing technology, enjoying printed photographs will simply never change. Sharing photographs with the people you love will not change.
4. Custom Designed
Album purchased from Tamieka Smith Photography are all custom. No album is exacted the same. With various leather designs, you can create something you’ll love and adore. With so many different leather designs you can even design an album with two or three leathers combined. You’ll be proud to share your family’s or event album to everyone who visits your home. Best of all, you can take all the credit.
5. Your memories in the palm of your hands
With an Heirloom Album, it’s easy to take the album off the bookcase and take and take a stroll down the memory lane. It’s simple as having your family’s memories in the palm of your hands. There’s no need to bring out the laptop or computer and hope your images are lost. Everyone can gather together in a group and get some laughs and share the good times surrounding the creation of a family portraits within the album.
Your photos shouldn’t just hide on your family’s computer hard drive or lost on social media. How fun is it to look at your family portraits or event photographs on your smartphone? Trust me when I say you’ll be amazed by how much more you’ll love your family portraits or National Archives event photographs when you can hold them, enjoy your favorite beverage, and flip through the pages that hold the people you love and care for the most.
Your album can live on your coffee table or a favorite spot in your home and it will beg you to enjoy your photographs over and over, unlike the millions of photos on your smartphone or computer that simply become lost among the other numerous images.
