Whipple Field is the location for this beautiful Army promotion ceremony on Fort Myer overlooking the monuments in Washington D.C. Lieutenant Colonel Clark and his family welcomed their friends and family at the field prior to the start of the ceremony.
The Presiding Officer discussed Lieutenant Colonel (LTC) Clark's distinguished career and how their military career path crossed.
LTC Clark's family was called forward to pin on his new rank of Colonel. Colonel Clark's eldest son held the rank while his wife and two younger sons changed the rank on his uniform coat and cover.
After the pinning, Colonel Clark was administered the Oath of Office.
After completing the Oath, Colonel Clark thanked his family for always being a source of support during his military career. As a token of his appreciation, he presented both his wife and Mom with beautiful flowers.
Following the ceremony, Colonel Clark's family and guest has a reception at the Fort Myer Officer Club.
