Autumn is one of my favorite times of the year especially in Northern Virginia.  It’s my favorite because when you step outside you feel the crispness in the air and the smell of wood burning in the fireplaces.  In addition to the crispness, the color on the trees come to life with beautiful oranges, reds, browns, and yellows.  When the wind blows, leaves begin flying in the air making for an amazing family portrait.

​There is nothing like the beauty looking at the colors of the leaves on the trees, the crunch of the leaves and the giggles of the children as they play with their parents is a wonderful sight.  During family portrait sessions, it’s a time where I try to make it relaxing and fun for families to let loose and just enjoy being with each other.  After all, isn’t picking out outfits for your portrait session supposed to be the most stressful part?  I meet this wonderful family last year in their neighborhood for fall portraits.  When I meet them, I complimented them on their amazing attire.  They coordinated each other so perfectly....what do you think?
