Why Should You Take Time to Document Your Family?
Time goes by really fast and that’s why it’s extremely important to document everything (especially the important moments) to add to your family’s history. If you think about it, it goes by faster than we think. If you’re not currently photographing your children playing with their favorite toy or washing dishing, you should start now, and make it a habit. You may believe it’s not important, but you would be surprised at how your will feel looking back at those pictures later.
There are so many golden moments that you and your family enjoy together that can work as really good occasions for you to capture them on camera. The first meal you and your wife cooked together as a married couple, the first day of your daughter’s or son’s school, the first across-the-city trip you took as a family---countless occasions all of which that can be turned into excellent photographs.
Family pictures that showcase how the family grew together as one strong unit can be an amazing possession. You can store these photos with you forever and it would be like having a piece of time forever with you. Sure, you cannot go back to your daughter’s wedding which was 15 years back, but every time you feel like reliving that moment again, you can bring out the old family photo album or a photo box containing the pictures.
Photographs are a highly-recommended way of freezing a moment forever. If you have not taken enough photos of your family doing all these great things, achieving all those amazing milestones, you can start today!
Being in a military community and with several military bases in the Northern Virginia, Washington DC, and Maryland area, they’re several opportunities to photograph those special moments. Living in and near Washington DC, military members can have a promotion, reenlistment, or retirement ceremony can be on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial, The Air Force Memorial, Quantico, and many other monuments around the area. They’re the perfect way to photograph and document one’s military career and document your family’s history.
The wonderful thing about the various stages of life is that every stage brings with it its own charm which could easily be documented and stored through photographs.
