#7 Benefits of Having A Portrait Session During A PandemicI just want to SCREAM! I know I'm not alone in this emotion. For many of us, myself included, I'm tired of being surround by these same four walls. I'm ready to venture out into our community to do things other than just grocery shopping. I guess I'm ready to get back to a sense of normalcy; kids going back to school, shopping at the mall, making places for family vacations, and the like. With everything going on, the only normal thing I can do right now that is normal is having a family picture taken. Every 12-15 months, my family has a picture taken to celebrate the life of our family and to remember the growth and changes that each new year brings. With all the changes to our current environment, I started thinking about some benefits of having a family picture taken during this pandemic. Escape - with so many outlets (mall, movie theaters, etc) closed having your family pictures taken outside is a great opportunity to have fun with the people you love most and have a wonderful time. Time - with so many families working and schooling from home these is likely less coordination needed because everyone will readily available. Fun - at this point anything outside of the four walls of your home is a fun time. Can I get a amen? Style - let's be honest; when was the last time you and your family was able to get dressed up and look nice? Unless you're getting stylish to go grocery shopping, there hasn't been a lot of opportunities. Having your family picture taken is a great opportunity for you and your family to get dressed up and have fun. Crowds - with the pandemic there are less people out and about which means you have less people around and you don't have to wait for people to move away from an area before you can take your picture. Celebrate Life - this pandemic has shown me and many others the importance of life and celebrating the people you love. Many of us ladies want to wait to have family pictures because we want to lose "10 pounds". Let's be honest, we've probably gained 10 pounds since the start of the pandemic. How can we resist those amazing snacks? I know I've been eating M&Ms like crazy. Despite those "extra pounds" this is a wonderful time to have a portrait taken with your babies and spend quality time. Don't put off the opportunity to have family pictures taken because you may not get another opportunity. Tomorrow isn't promised to anyone and don't wait to lose those "10 pounds". History - have you given any thought to the fact that we're living in history? My family enjoys going to museums and I'm always fascinated with the photos and documents that are on display. Now is your time to take a picture that could be used to document history. The wearing of your face mask by your family members to even holding a newspaper to showcase yesterday's headlines are great ways to document your family's life during these historic times. Conclusion Many people maybe ready to get back to normal and having a family picture taken is a great way to do that along with capturing a moment in time. I think taking a family photo outside is a great idea. COVID-19 shut down a lot of things as you said. So might as well take advantage of it and enjoy the out doors.

Thanks for pointing out that having a family picture can allow us to remember a moment in time. My husband and I want to celebrate every milestone of our family. We are hoping to find a skilled family photographer on Monday who can produce high-quality photos of our family, especially our growing five children.
