Many military members throughout Washington DC and across the nation desire to have their military event at the museum. Because of it's popularity, members have to request months in advance to secure the venue for their promotion or retirement ceremony. Therefore, I always get excited when veterans or their spouse call or message me to schedule photography for their ceremony.
A few months ago, Melissa contacting me to photograph her husband promotion ceremony at The Archives. They were excited about the promotion and having family in attendance to witness the ceremony and wanted to have beautiful portraits of the day.
Heirloom Album for Promotion Ceremony at National Archives
This is a beautiful heirloom album created for an Air Force member who had his promotion ceremony at the National Archives Museum in Washington D.C. Following their ceremony, the member and his spouse chose Wedgewood leather as the base and Stone Cold Grey as the accent on the spine. The leather is soft to touch and a truly luxurious book to hold the keepsake portraits from his military ceremony.

The story boxes are beautifully designed wooden box with a luxurious soft touch material on the interior with chrome hinges. The quality of the build is phenomenal. When I received this Story Box I was excited and can't wait for Major Day and his wife to receive this beautiful box.

It was a beautiful day in Washington D.C. for an Air Force promotion ceremony at The National Archives; even the little ducklings thought so. They came out for a walk with their Mom. They wanted to stroll the streets of D.C. so much, Mom wanted to walk them down Constitution Avenue. Of course, we walked out in traffic to help protect them. All of this happened before Captain Day arrived for his promotion ceremony.
It was a beautiful day in Washington D.C. at The National Archives museum for an Air Force promotion ceremony. Captain Kravitz's friends and family began gathering outside the museum before entry.

What a day filled with excitement - two Navy promotion ceremonies at The National Archives. Yes, not only was it a promotion ceremony for Captain Juergens, but also Commander McCandless. They both arrived in Washington D.C. for their military ceremony.

For many that live in and near the nation's capital know we're in the middle of a heat wave, because of this, we decided to take family portraits before the ceremony. Although we couldn't run from the humidity, we walked to the top of the stairs to avoid the sun and captured this beautiful family portrait.
