It's was a beautiful morning in Washington D.C. today at The National Archives Museum. Beautiful weather and a wonderful moment for family, friends and coworkers to travel to Washington D.C. to celebrate one of the nation's heroes and one of the Air Force's newest Lieutenant Colonels.

Living in Northern Virginia offers several beautiful locations within the area to have family portraits. Old Town Alexandria in Virginia is one of those beautiful locations; and it’s rather popular especially during the fall because of the tree lined streets.
It’s such an extraordinary place to visit as well as have your family portraits taken because of the various options. There is a so much history and of course a lot of gorgeous backdrops for your family pictures. There are colorful townhomes, the famous cobblestone streets, narrow alleyways, Wilkes Street tunnel, and King Street waterfront with the pier. You've visited and glanced through my pricing and galleries and have liked what you saw; now what's next. Yay, you've decided to hire Tamieka Smith Photography to photograph your family portraits, event, or military ceremony in Northern Virginia or surrounding area. So, what’s next; to secure your desired date? I’ll ask you to complete two things next; sign an agreement and pay a retainer. The retainer is paid at the time you decide to hire me to save your date. I’m unable to hold a date and time on the calendar until this payment is received. This is to ensure that you're as committed to your portrait session or event, since I will be turning away other work. I’m sure the next question is; how do you pay? You’ll receive an invoice by email or you may submit payment securely online in the online store or via the appointment page.
Here's the outline of scheduling Tamieka Smith as your NOVA family or military event photographer. Congratulations to Lieutenant Colonel Wood! He is one of the Army's newest promotees. Major Wood arrived at The National Archives Museum with his family to greet his friends and guests who were in attendance for his ceremony. Military Ceremonies held at The Archives are special because of the documents held inside the Rotunda as well as being able to document the ceremony with photographs.
f you've visited the National Archives Museum in Washington D.C., you're aware that photography is not allowed within the museum. Therefore many military members and their families are excited to be able to document these memories with pictures.
